PURPOSE: A field emission display with a sealing groove is provided to maintain balance of a front board and a rear board by forming a sealing groove in the part, on which the first glass is going to be applied, and to prevent leaking of gas. CONSTITUTION: The device includes an emitter electrode(10), a front board(15), a rear board(16) and a sealing groove. The front board(15) displays the image. The rear board(16), the opposite face is sealed. A vertical type end portion is formed on the edge part of the front board(15). The vertical type end portion of the front board(15) is inserted into the sealing groove(18) and sealed. The sealing groove(18) is formed around the rear board(16) and is formed more widely than the width of the vertical type end portion of the front board(15).
