PURPOSE: A CVT(Continuous Variable Transmission) system has adjustable gearshift range to adjust transmission gear ratio differently for all kinds of automobiles with different engine rpms and torques. CONSTITUTION: Moving range limiting members(48) of disk form are inserted on a driving shaft(2) or a driven shaft(6) between one ends of variable pulleys(26, 28) of a driving pulley(4) or a driven pulley(8) and piston members(18, 34) forming hydraulic chambers(38, 44) with the variable pulleys(26, 28) to limit the maximum travel of variable pulleys(26, 28) to change gearshift range correspondingly to the engine rotatory frequency of the kind of cars.
