PURPOSE: A height controlling method of a vehicle controls a vehicle height from ground to equivalently distribute load applied to each wheel of the vehicle on the running of the vehicle on a rough road having severe flexions. CONSTITUTION: The road surface state of a vehicle pictured by a pair of cameras is extracted as three dimensional data. The three dimensional data are calculated with a current vehicle speed value and a steering angle value, thereby predicting the height of a road surface where each wheel of the vehicle would pass. Then, the vibration height of the road surface to pass is predicted by calculating the perceived value of a weight sensor mounted on the lower portion of the suspension. The height of the road surface and the vibration height are calculated to generate the acting distance of an actuator mounted on the lower portion of a suspension. The actuator is acted within the calculated acting distance.
