PURPOSE: An order line terminal operation device of satellite communication system is provided to enable general subscriber's call function so that a call can be made through the order line terminal operation device. CONSTITUTION: An order line terminal operation device of satellite communication system is composed of following units. A board controller(370), which controls all the devices for subscriber matching. The board controller(370) controls a time switching unit(376), which performs a switching between voice channels. Voice data is sent and received between the order line terminal operation device and the time switching unit(376). A CODEC(COder and DECoder,378g) performs digital to analog conversion when the voice data flows to a terminal and the CODEC(378g) performs analog to digital conversion when the voice data flows the other side. A detection unit(378a) checks on and off status of an operator terminal's hook. The first status register(378b) stores the on and off status detected by the detection unit. A dial detection unit(378c) detects dial signals produced by an operator manipulating the terminal. The second status register(378d) stores flag data produced in accordance with the data level generated at the dial detection unit(378c). A timer(378e) generates time data for producing interrupts. While a control unit(378f) communicates with the controller each period of time set by the timer in accordance with data established by the first and the second status register(378b,378d), the control unit(378f) controls subscriber's call and communication function of the operator terminal.
