PURPOSE: A method for transmitting voice/data signals to improve a DS-CDMA(Direct Sequence-Code Division Multiple Access System) capacity is provided to use a convolutional code to a voice signal, and to use a hamming code with the convolutional code to a data signal when simultaneously supplying voice/data services. CONSTITUTION: If a traffic is inputted in an idle state(401), a system confirms a traffic kind(402). If the traffic is a voice traffic, the system uses a convolutional code to code a voice signal(403), and transmits the coded voice signal to become the idle state(404,405). If the traffic is a data traffic, the system stores a data signal(406), and becomes a data transmission state(407). The system uses the convolutional code and a hamming code to the stored data signal, and codes the data signal to transmit the coded data signal(409). Until a re-transmission request message is received, the system sets up a timer(410). During a setup timer time, the system checks whether the re-transmission message is received(411). If so, the system completes the timer(412), and returns to the (407). If the re-transmission message is not received until a timer completion message is received, the system decides that the transmission message is successfully transmitted, and becomes the idle state(413).
