PURPOSE: A sliding prevention device prevents a car body from being pushed to the opposite direction to the desired direction by inertia when a car drives on a sloping road on the first speed or backing. CONSTITUTION: A sliding prevention device comprises a backing detecting switch(10) and a first speed detecting switch(12), a control device(20), a first driving portion(30) and a second driving portion(32) and a sliding prevention device(40). The control device(20) is impressed with detecting signals from the switches(10, 12) and outputs control signal. The first driving portion(30) and the second driving portion(32) are driven by the control signal from the control device(20). The sliding preventing device(40) is controlled by the first and the second driving portions(30, 32) to prevent a car from sliding to the opposite direction on backing and driving on the first speed.
