PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing oil is provided to easily and promptly remove oil discharged without permission occurring due to sinking of ships on the sea during a trip. CONSTITUTION: An oil removal apparatus comprises: a first motor(1) rotating to remove oil with power supplied from a power resource; a roller(3) connected to a shaft(2) of the first motor to be interlocked with rotation of the first motor; a brush(4) attached onto the entire circumference of the roller to separate oil from sea water; a temporary storage(5) temporarily collecting oil removed by the brush; a second motor rotating to transfer the oil of the temporary storage into a storage(6) in a ship; a pump(8) operated by rotation of the second motor; and a check valve preventing a counter flow of the oil in the storage of the ship into the temporary storage. With the oil removal apparatus, oil floating onto sea water is removed easily and promptly. Thereby, destruction of ocean environment due to oil is minimized.
