PURPOSE: A system for compensating for intake air at a low speed of a vehicle is provided to increase output of an engine in a low speed driving and to reduce noxious exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: An intake air compensating apparatus comprises: an intake pipe including an air cleaner(11); a turbocharger compressor(17) compressing external air flowing into the intake pipe; an intake manifold(7) connected with the turbocharger compressor to suck external air; an engine(1); an exhaust manifold(9) discharging combustion gas; a turbocharger turbine(15) connected with the exhaust manifold to compress air flowing into the air cleaner; an exhaust pipe discharging exhaust gas discharged via the turbocharger turbine; an air compressor(19) compressing external air; an air tank(21) connected with the air compressor to store the air compressed by the air compressor; and a valve(23) connected with the air compressor and the turbocharger compressor to selectively guide the compressed air of the air compressor to the intake manifold depending on pressure of the turbocharger compressor. With a low engine rpm, pressure of the turbocharger compressor falls and pressure of an air chamber of the air valve falls. Then, a communication port of the air compressor is communicated with a communication port of the intake manifold. Thus, the compressed air is guided into a combustion chamber of the engine through the intake manifold. Thereby, air of sufficient amount is guided into the combustion chamber. Further, efficiency of the engine is improved and of exhaust gas is reduced.
