PURPOSE: A ring pick up method using a centric function is provided to offer a service efficiently by receiving a call instead of a member on the occasion of an absence of the member belonging to an RPU(Ring Pick Up) group. CONSTITUTION: An optional subscriber performs a hook-off in order to receive a call of a busy subscriber(208). A line control senses a hook-off signal, and reports a hook-off state and a ring state to a centric line control part in order to receive the call. It is decided whether a terminal performing the hook-off and a busy terminal belong to a same RPU(Ring Pick Up) group(212) or not. If the terminal performing the hook-off and the busy terminal belong to the same RPU group, the busy subscriber's data stored at an RPU buffer is deleted(216). A ring signal of the subscriber to which an in-coming call is demanded is cut off(218). A terminal of a subscriber inputting an RPU code is connected to a terminal of an out-going subscriber(220).
