PURPOSE: Provided is a process for treating the surface of a precious metal by a cutting method, by which non-luster treated parts and luster treated parts are distinguished clearly. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: fixing the precious metal(40) to a fixing stick(41) which rotates or moves forward and backward; forming slim and dense stripes(45) sequentially on the surface of the precious metal(40) by reciprocating a cutting part(44) of a surface processing device(43) at a right angle to the moving direction of the precious metal(40); forming grooves, inclines, or patterns(46) along the surface treated area or a side end part.
