CURRENT COLLECTOR FOR LITHIUM ION BATTERIES AND A METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided is an electric current collector comprising a zinc coated aluminium grid, which can be used for a lithium ion battery and has high conductivity in a boundary between the electric current collector and an electrode active material. CONSTITUTION: The electric current collector is produced by a process comprising the steps of: cleaning the aluminium grid with an aqueous basic solution to remove an alumina layer from the surface of the aluminium grid, wherein the base is selected from the group consisting of sodium hydride, potassium hydride, lithium hydride, cesium hydride, ammonium hydride and a mixture thereof; coating the cleaned aluminium grid with zinc by contacting the aluminium grid with aqueous zinc oxide solution, wherein the zinc oxide solution is basic solution containing 50-100g/l of the zinc oxide.
