CALL CONNECTION METHOD FOR HANDOFF AND CELL TRAFFIC ASSIGNMENT

PURPOSE: A call connection method considering a hand-off decrement and a traffic distribution of cells in a hierarchy structure is provided to divide usable frequencies into frequency sets for a macro cell and a micro cell, and to endow the macro cell with a highest priority than the micro cell, then to make a mobile terminal connect to the macro cell. CONSTITUTION: A base station has a hierarchy structure which a micro cell(102) and a macro cell(101) are overlapped. Frequency sets for a call connection endowed with various priorities are assigned to mobile terminals. When the call connection is requested, frequencies are evenly distributed to the mobile terminals in order not to generate load. A traffic distribution of cells is controlled. The call connection is firstly requested to the macro cell(101). When a mobile terminal number moving at a high speed or a busy mobile terminal number is less, the mobile terminals use frequencies of the macro cell(101). When a frequency channel for a new call of the macro cell(101) is unusable, when the mobile terminals moves at a low speed, the call connection is attempted to the micro cell(102), and the mobile terminals use the frequencies of the macro cell(101) having a wider service area than that of the micro cell(102).
