PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and high quality substrate for manufacturing a semiconductor device having a wide area surface layer, and a photoelectric transducer whose high efficiency can be obtained by a wide area light receiving face using the substrate for manufacturing a semiconductor device and the stereoscopic structure, and a method for manufacturing them. SOLUTION: Semiconductor granulated crystals 2-1, 2-2, and 2-3 in plural layers are arranged on a semiconductor substrate 1, and they are connected and fixed through mutual connecting points 4-1, 4-2, and 4-3 by heat treatment or a chemical vapor deposition method so that a substrate for manufacturing a semiconductor device can be formed. An active layer 5 is formed on this substrate, and then a semiconductor active layer 6 of different conductivity type is formed on the active layer 5 by a chemical vapor deposition method or a diffusion method so that a PN-joint face having a stereoscopic structure can be formed. Thus, a highly efficient solar battery and light emitting diode can be obtained. |
