PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the maintenance of a grounding means provided in the lower end of a spindle in a disk rotating mechanism. SOLUTION: A grounding means 7 for grounding a spindle 6 is formed by combining a ball 18 provided in the lower end of the spindle 6 with a conductive pad 19 having a hole portion 20 with grease 21 filling the portion contacting the ball 18. Thus, always a certain amount of grease 21 remains in the hole portion 20 of the conductive pad 19, and the necessity of grease-up maintenance is eliminated for a long time until no more grease 21 remains in the hole portion 20. Accordingly, the maintenance of the grounding means 7 provided in the lower end of the spindle 6 is improved.
