PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube excellent in productivity by using a corner suspension system in a color selecting electrode provided with a tension type shadow mask. SOLUTION: A color selecting electrode in which a slot type shadow mask 6 is stretched between supports 8 and the supports 8 are held by an elastic member between the support 8 is provided within an envelope 2 having a face panel. In this case, bent parts 8a that both end extended parts of the longitudinal direction are bent are formed in the supports 8, spring members 12 are fixed to the bent parts 8a, the spring members 12 and pins 14 fixed to corner parts within the envelope 2 are engaged and the color selecting electrode is fixed to the envelope 2. Because the color selecting electrode is made light in weight due to lowering of tensile force, an original function of a corner suspension system can be displayed and the spring members 12 can be directly fixed to the supports 8 by using a slot type shadow mask, productivity can be improved.
