<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce charge by emitted electrons by decreasing exposed area of an insulating surface. SOLUTION: A plurality of row wirings 2 are formed on a substrate 1 with interval between these plurality of row wirings 2 sufficiently shorter than width of the row wirings 2, inter-layer insulating layers 3 are formed crossing parts between these row wirings 2 and column wirings 5, a plurality of pairs of element electrodes 4 with one side 4b abutting to the row wirings 2 and the other side 4a positioned on the inter-layer insulating layer 3, the column wiring 5 is placed on this inter-layer insulating layer 3 with abutting to the other element electrode 4a so as to substantially cover the inter-layer insulating layer 3, and a conductive thin film is placed between the pairs of element electrodes 4, and an electron emission element 6 defining an electron emission part is formed on each conductive thin film. Thus, exposed area of the inter-layer insulating layer 3 and the substrate 1 is minimized.</p> |
