PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size, lower cost and improve product quality by detecting ice by using an ice making pan and preventing the ice from being scraped out by the ice making pan when the ice making pan returns to an original point. SOLUTION: A rotation shaft of an ice making pan 1 is disposed in a position widthwisely shifted from a center of a width direction of the pan to one side and a far end side from the rotation shaft is used as an ice detection section 1a, and the ice detection section 1a is moved lower with respect to the rotation shaft according to an ice separation timing judgment, and when an ice detection finish point signal is outputted within a set time from an ice detection rotation start, the ice making pan is turned over by making the ice detection section 1a pass above the rotation shaft, and when an ice separation point signal indicating a separation of ice is inputted, the ice detection section is made to pass above the rotation shaft so as to return to an original point, and when the ice detection finish signal is not outputted even after the set time has elapsed from the ice detection rotation start according to the ice separation timing judgment, a return to the original point is carried out.
