MANUFACTURE OF SOLAR BATTERY ARRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solar battery having a protecting diode. SOLUTION: At first, p/n junction is formed in a semiconductor material and then separation is operated so that a main body 10 and a separated piece 9 can be obtained. The separated piece 9 is connected in parallel across the main body 10 to a reverse direction so as to be operated as a protecting diode for a solar battery constituting the main body 10. The separated piece 9 as the protecting diode can be arranged in the neighborhood of the main body 10, or mounted on the front face or rear face of the solar battery as a substitute.
