PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative sheet handling device constituted so that a proper recovery action can be executed based on the states of a negative sheet and respective action members at the point of a control reset time even when a control reset action is executed because a power source is unexpectedly stopped. SOLUTION: This device 100 is provided with a rotary take-up member 30 taking up the negative sheet 4 in which piece negatives 5 are inserted and an ejection feeder 41 taking out the taken-up sheet 4 from the take-up member 30. Besides, it is provided with a negative sheet detection means 50 detecting the sheet 4 of the take-up member 30. In the case that the sheet 4 is detected by the detection means 50 at an initial start time, recovery processing is executed.
