PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a same system to collect biological information with respect to a wider variety of objects without the need for a MODEM for communication with a patient's home by adopting a configuration such that biological information obtained by a biological information measurement means is converted into a tone signal and the converted tone signal is transmitted. SOLUTION: The system adopts a configuration such that biological information obtained by a biological information measurement means is converted into a tone signal and the converted tone signal is transmitted. For example, in the case that data of a body temperature stored are going to be sent, the operator hooks up a handset and brings it close to a tone signal transmission means 104 and depresses a transmission switch 108. This depression signal is given to a control means 105. The control means 105 reads a transmission destination telephone number stored in advance in a memory 106 and gives it to a tone signal conversion means 103. The tone signal conversion means 103 converts received data into a tone signal. The tone signal converted from the data is fed to the handset of the telephone set and reaches an exchange of a public line to call a telephone set of an opposite party.
