PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk cartridge in which an opening part for recording and reproducing is formed a large size as compared with the size of a cartridge body used to house an optical disk and in which the opening part is opened and closed reliably by a shutter mechanism. SOLUTION: A cartridge body 5 in which a circular medium housing part 11 used to house an optical disk 2 is formed and in which an opening part 15 and an opening part 16 used to make a part of the optical disk 2 face the outside are formed is provided. A first shutter member 25 and a second shutter member 26 which are turned along the main face of the cartridge body 5 inside a region forming the medium housing part 11 and which open and close the opening parts 15, 16 are provided. The first shutter member 25 is supported so as to be rotatable along the medium housing part 11. The second shutter member 26 is supported by the cartridge body 5 rotatably in relation to the first shutter member 25. When the first shutter member 25 is moved to a position used to close the opening parts 15, 16, the second shutter member 26 is brought into close contact with one side of the first shutter member 25 so as to close the opening parts 15, 16, and it is turned together with the first shutter member 25 to an open position when the first shutter member 25 is turned so as to open the opening parts 15, 16.
