PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculating device which helps understand calculation more deeply by changing the calculation of a formula of an arithmetical operation into an easy formula and displaying it thoroughly. SOLUTION: A CPU 2 shows a formula of an arithmetical operation inputted from a keyboard on a displaying part 4, also expands the formula, each operation processing program stored in a ROM 6 and each operation expression change processing program in a work memory area in a RAM 4, and changes the formula into an easy form to calculate, and them performs calculation according to each program and successively shows it on the displaying part 4. In the case addition or subtraction, carry processing or borrow processing are respectively performed as occasion demands. And, operation results calculated by each operation processing program are shown on the displaying part 4.
