PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a right setting even if a component peak other than that of analyzed matter exists by setting a straight line connecting first and second base line points detected from a peak of the analyzed matter and an appearing time as a base line. SOLUTION: A first memory means 3 inputs and memorized base line detection beginning and ending times (tb1), (tb2) of analyzed matter from a key board 7. A second memory means 4 inputs and memorizes a chromatogram of the analyzed matter from a detector 2. Regarding the chromatogram, a first operation means 5 detects a peak of the analyzed matter and an appearing time (tx) thereof. A second operation means 6 detects a first base line point using a function making two or more values of a height, an inclination, a curvature and a difference with tx of the chromatogram point between tb1 to tx as parameters based on the detection result. A second base line point is similarly detected between tx to tb2 and a straight line connecting the first and second base line points is set as a base line and is outputted to a printer 8.
