PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of the difference of size and direction between a cover and a non-cover or between a sheet and a non-sheet in a clear display state so as to improve operability by adding the attribute of the cover and the sheet to a cassette and performing control. SOLUTION: The cassettes of the cover and the sheet are designated as the attribute of a paper supply origin. A cover mode or a sheet mode is designated from a control panel 70. In the case of judging that the cassette selected as the paper supply origin of non-cover(non-sheet) paper is the cover cassette, a main CPU 30 inhibits copying processing as the start from the cover cassette. In the case of judging that it is not the cover cassette, the CPU 30 acquires the size of the cover and performs size comparing processing. When the cassette whose attribute shows the cover is not set, an error message that the cassette does not exist is displayed. Then, the error message showing the absence of the paper, the difference of the size between the cover and the non-cover, and the difference of the direction between the cover and the non-cover is displayed. |
