PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the end sealing of a liquid filling port while the spacing between the first and second substrates 11 and 13 of a structure 21 with which liquid filling ends is regulated by a gaseous pressure. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal end-sealing device has first and second hermeticity holding members 33, 35 tightly adhered respectively from the main surface side and second main surface side of the first substrate over the entire area at the end along the side on the liquid filling port 21a side of the structure 21. The device has a third hermeticity holding member 37 in tight contact with the first and second hermeticity holding members and a portion on the flank of the structure 21 respectively on both sides of the structure in the portions deviating from the structure 21. The structure 21 may be housed inside in the state of exposing the liquid filling port 21a outside. The internal hermeticity may be assured by the first to third hermeticity holding members. In addition, the device has a container 31 where the internal pressure is arbitrary controlled.
