PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a stroboscopic device to receive a light emission command and to shift it in a low power consumption state in the case where the light emission command is not received for a prescribed period by operating it under a 1st operation mode during a 1st period and shifting it to a 2nd operation mode operating in a low power consumption state in the case that a wireless signal is not received within the 1st period. SOLUTION: In the case where the timer of a microcomputer 238 reaches a prescribed value (save energy(SE) timer shifting time), that is, in the case where wireless information is not received and light emission processing is not executed, a CNT terminal is set at a high level and the operation of a boosting circuit 202 is stopped. An AVC terminal is set at a high level and the power supply of an analog circuit is stopped. A message showing that the mode is shifted to the SE mode is displayed. Besides, an LED 243 for displaying charge-finish and an LED 244 for displaying dimming confirmation are turned off. The clock mode (normal mode) of the microcomputer 238 is set to a low speed mode (low power consumption mode).
