PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens barrel whose number of component members is reduced and which can be made compact and miniaturized. SOLUTION: This lens barrel 50 is constituted so that a rotary frame 2 internally supporting lens frames holding respective lens groups and a moving frame 5 to which a helicoid ring 4 is attached are supported by a fixed frame 1 supporting a driving ring 3 so that they can be turned and moved forward and backward. By driving the ring 4 to be turned, the frames 2 and 5 can be integrally extended to a photographing position from a collapsibly mounted position. By driving the frame 2 set at the photographing position to be rotated by using the ring 3, the respective lens frames can be extended to respective zoom positions. By using this lens barrel 50, a camera can be compact and miniaturized.
