PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate and efficient automatic inspection by inspecting cutting flaw and tearing flaw that may be generated in forming and finishing an elastic object in the case of inspecting the flaw in the elastic object using an image pick-up device. SOLUTION: Flaw inspection is made, where a flaw (a) in an elastic object 1 is inspected. In this case, the elastic object 1 is pinched by two fixing nibs 2a and 2b and a traveling nib 3 that can travel freely so that they collide each other for curving and deforming the object and for floating the flaw (a), and the deformed part is subjected to image processing by an image pick-up means 4 for inspection, thus making clear the presence or absence of the flaw and improving an inspection accuracy for automating at low costs by processing the image.
