PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken recovering work for liquefied gas by setting a vertical head between residual gas filled and gas recovering cylinders by utilizing a rotating mount, and cooling the gas recovering cylinder to set a temperature difference relative to the residual gas filled cylinder. SOLUTION: In a recovering method for liquefied gas for recovering a residual liquefied gas in a first vessel 1 to a second vessel 11, the openings of the vessels 1 and 11 are connected by a piping 21 to exhaust the piping by a vacuum pump 24, and also the vessel 1 is arranged in the upper part of the vessel 11 in a condition where the opening of the vessel 1 is made downward, the vessel 11 is cooled to recover the residual liquefied gas in its liquid condition to the vessel 11 from the vessel 1.
