PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the easy portability and the information processing environment by providing a portable terminal with a recognizing function for the user, a process result display function, etc., and also providing an agent server with all information processing functions. SOLUTION: When the portable terminal 1 receives network information service, an individual authenticating means 11 of an authentication and setting part 1a authenticates an individual who is to receive the service and its process conditions are set by a process condition setting part 12. Then a network connection part 1b sends the user ID and terminal ID to an agent server 2 by a transmitting means 13 through a public telephone network N. An authentication, setting, and processing part 2a of the server 2 specifies and authenticates the user and terminal by an ID authenticating means 21 according to stored data, and a judgement and processing/device managing and control means 22 of the server 2 grasps the requested processing contents and performs necessary processing. Then the terminal 1 once receiving the process result from a transmitting means 23 of the server 2 enables it to be browsed through a receiving and browsing means 15.
