PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the insulating properties of insulating layers inserted into the slots of a stator core in a good state by reducing the breakage of the insulating layer. SOLUTION: The stator of an alternator for vehicle is formed by inserting conductor segments 33 formed in U-shapes into the slots 35 of the stator core 32 of the stator in the same direction as the punching direction of the core 32 after insulators 34 are inserted into the slots 35 and connecting the end sections of the segments 33 inserted into different slots 35 to each other. Since the segments 33 are inserted into the slots 35 in the same direction as the extending direction (punching direction) of the burrs of each steel sheet 36 of the core 32, the breakage of the insulators 34 are prevented.
