PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the maintenance and inspection work of a machine guarding device by one person without entering guarding object facilities. SOLUTION: In this machine guarding device 1 for receiving sensor reporting information sent out from a sensor device 3 by a receiver 4, latest time data TD for indicating the latest reporting time of the sensor device 3 are stored on the side of the receiver 4 and signals 41B for maintenance including the latest time data TD are sent out as radio signals (f) for the maintenance with a fixed time interval. By receiving the radio signals (f) for the maintenance on the outer side of a house 2, whether or not the machine guarding device 1 normally functions is judged from the contents of the latest time data TD without entering the house 2.
