PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a time-division communication which is suitable for size reduction and price lowering by comparing the phase of a transmit loop signal outputted from an output branch means to a transmission system with the phase of the output signal of a modulator, controlling an oscillation frequency with the output signal of a phase comparator and generating a transmission radio frequency signal. SOLUTION: In transmission, an input selecting means 111 selects a transmission system to inputs a transmit RF signal to a transmitting and receiving down converter 112, and an output branch means 113 outputs the output signal of the transmitting and receiving down converter 112 as the transmit loop signal. Upon reception, the input selecting means 111 selects reception system to inputs a receive RF signal to a reception system, and an output branch means 113 outputs the receiver RF signal to the reception system. The transmitter receiver is made small-sized and low-priced by using the transmitting and receiving down converter 112 in common to perform the frequency conversion of the transmission and reception RF signals to the transmission loop or reception IF signal of an IF band.
