PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device capable of confirming the physical continuity of audio data whose data are written in a buffer memory in which the outputting of data are performed by being divided into plural times at the time of reading out the audio data in synchronization with a clock independent of the readout from the buffer memory in reproducing an audio and a reproducing rate converting device. SOLUTION: At the time of reproducing a CD audio, PCM data are reproduced from a CD player at a higher rate which is independent of an audio reproducing rate and these data are written in the buffer memory 9 of a CD- ROM decoder which is not used ordinarily at the time of reproducing the CD audio and an audio output has a function to be read from the memory 9 at the audio reproducing rate and the speed difference between the inputting of data from the CD player to the memory 9 and the outputting of data from a buffer memory for audio reproduction is adjusted by performing the writing of the data in the memory 9 while performing the same intermittent buffer writings of a sector unit as that performed in a CD-ROM decode mode.
