PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability without requiring immediate housing of a disk recording medium into a protective case when this medium is not used by integrally forming a projecting part which projects to an annular form in a direction orthogonal with a recording surface at an edge part and preventing the recording surface from coming into contact with a desk surface and a floor surface. SOLUTION: The protective edge of the disk recording medium 10 is obtd. by integrally forming the projecting part 10b which projects to the annular form in the orthogonal direction from the recording surface 10a at the edge part 10d of the disk recording medium 10. The height at which the projecting part 10b projects in the orthogonal direction from the recording surface 10a is specified to 0.5 mm and the width in the radial direction to 1 to 2 mm to avoid hindering the recording and reproducing of the disk recording medium 10. When the disk recording medium 10 is placed on the desk surface or floor surface, the projecting part 10b is abutted on the desk surface or floor surface, the recording surface 10a parts form the desk surface or floor surface and, therefore, even if there are dust, etc., on the desk surface or floor surface, the adhesion of the dust, etc., on the recording surface 10a and the consequent flawing thereof are prevented. |
