POWER TRANSFORMER RACK

The rack is designed for power transformers. It reduces the noise and improves the dynamic characteristics of the transformer. The magnetic circuit of a power transformer is made of lamina of electrical sheet steel tightened by means of racks and a rim band. The racks are made of a composite based on phenolphormaldehyde resin or its modifications with continuous glass fibres (1) orientated towards the mechanism loads. In the zones found under the rim band (2) the racks are made of a basic longitudinal sheaf of glass fibres (1) engaged by a latteral layer (3). In zones (4) the basic longitudinal layer of glass fibres (1) is tensility prestressed and is engaged by an extra layer (5) in the configuration. The density of the racks in the zones of the rim band (2) is greater than their density in zones (4). 1 claim, 2 figures
