PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radioactivity surface contamination monitor capable of decreasing leaving of personal articles of person to be measured and easily setting the personal articles by a simple structure. SOLUTION: Provided are a monitor body 1 where doors 2L and 2R capable of opening and closing is placed at the inlet and outlet formed at sides facing to each other, shell part detectors 9 arranged in a plurality in the front crossing perpendicularly to the inlet and the outlet and detecting radiation radiated from the body of person H to be measured, hand openings 4 and 6 for inserting right and left hands of H in the front of 1, hand detectors 3 and 5 arranged around the 4 and 6 and detecting the radiation radiated from the right and the left hands of H, a personal article container 8 for containing personal articles of H in the front crossing perpendicularly to the inlet and outlet of 1 and a personal article detector 7 arranged on the outer side wall of 8 and detecting radiation radiated from the personal articles contained in 8.
