PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a saturable reactor and a direct current stabilizing power source which have a small size and a light weight and which can obtain a stable output voltage. SOLUTION: A saturable reactor is made of soft magnetic material and a direct current stabilizing power source uses the saturable reactor which has a permiability ratioμXA/m/μOA/m at a direct current magnetic field O (A/m) being less than 0.1, when a direct current magnetic field of which permiability at 10 kHz being less than 1 (mH/m) is X (A/m). Fe base magnetic alloy having a non-crystal alloy or fine crystal structure is used for the magnetic material.
