<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to measure the coordinates of an input operation point on a touch panel without being influenced by a noise generated due to the drive of a display area in a liquid crystal display device laminating the touch panel on a liquid crystal(LC) panel and dividing the LC panel into a main display area to be driven as duty and a sub-display area to be statistically driven. SOLUTION: A timing generation circuit 17b prepares a line pulse LP1 of a comparatively short period for driving the main display area 13 by dividing the frequency of a system clock CK and prepares also a clock signal CK2 for driving the sub-display area 14 synchronously with the pulse LP1. The circuit 17b generates also a sampling pulse ADS for driving an analog/digital(A/D) converter 19 for measuring an input operation point to the trouch panel 18 immediately before the effective edge of the pulse LP1. Therefore the generation timing of a noise can be specified and A/D conversion can be executed avoiding the generation timing.</p> |
