PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna for a portable radio equipment for preventing the connected part of an antenna cap with an antenna element from being damaged even when an antenna cap receives any impact from the outside part when an antenna main body is housed in a case body. SOLUTION: An antenna main body 2 of an antenna 1 for a portable radio equipment is constituted of an antenna cap 3 made of synthetic resin, antenna element 4 whose one edge is connected with the lower face of the antenna cap, and lower edge hardware 5 fixed to the other edge of the antenna element 4. A cylindrical enclosure 6 arranged so as to be projected on the upper face of the case body and cylindrical mounting hardware 7 are integrally formed of metallic materials, and a male screw part 8 to be screwed into a female screw part mounted on a hole opened in the case is integrally formed of metallic materials in the middle of the outer peripheral face of the mounting hardware. When the antenna main body is housed in the case body, the lower part of the antenna cap is inserted into the through-hold of the enclosure so as to be protected.
