SOLUTION: A user inserts an IC card 109 into an IC card reader writer 107. Then the program and data for realizing the function of the equipment 101 provided with the IC card device are read out of the IC card 109, and written to an IC card information table 113. The program and data set in an equipment function information setting table 117 of the equipment 101 are read. The read program and data are written to the IC card information table 113. The program and data written in the IC card information table 113 are written to the IC card 109. Then, a function that the user selects is executed.
