PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface acoustic wave device for reducing amplitude ripple and group delay ripple in a pass band. SOLUTION: A comb-shaped electrode 11 is formed by projecting electrode fingers 14a1, 14a2,..., 14b1, 14b2,..., 14c making a pair by each two to one side of a common electrode part 13. A comb-shaped electrode 12 is formed by projecting electrode fingers 16a1, 16b1,..., 16a2, 16b2,... making a pair by each two to one side of a common electrode part 15. When 5 ore more kinds of width is set ofλ/8 or less,λ/8, andλ/8 or more, the reflection amounts of an inside reflecting source can be continuously changed, and the distribution function of the inside reflecting source being a continuous function can be continuously distributed. Thus, amplitude ripple and group delay ripple in a pass band can be reduced.
