PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a code length and a band magnification independently and to prevent degradation in a correlation value detection characteristic. SOLUTION: A UW multiplexer circuit 2 multiplexes a fixed pattern on a head of each frame of transmission data and a spread code generating circuit 17 generates a spread code TP1 synchronously with the frame. A spread circuit 16 applies spread modulation to data from the UW multiplexer circuit 2 with the spread code TP1. A correlation detection circuit 19 has a fixed pattern that is spread-modulated as a multiple coefficient and detects a correlation of the fixed pattern that is spread-modulated in the received data. An inverse spread code generating circuit 20 outputs a head code of an inverse spread code RP1 when the fixed pattern is outputted. An inverse spread circuit 18 applies inverse spread modulation to the received data by using the inverse spread code RP1.
