PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut an objective portion out from a gel to fractionate it. SOLUTION: An agarose gel containing a sample developed by electrophoresis is set on an X-Y stage 2 using gel stoppers 3, 4. The sample labeled with a phosphor is detected by a light source 6 and a two-dimensional camera 7 to display an electrophoresis pattern on a monitor 8 as an image data. A cutting- out portion is selected in reference to the image data, and the selected portion is automatically cut from the gel using cutting-out parts 9, 10. An oblective portion is accurately cut out thereby to be fractionated. |
