PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable correcting deviations of the frequency and the phase of an internal reference clock signal quickly by using a frequency comparator 4 and a PLL circuit 9 at the time of adjusting the frequency and the phase of the reference clock signal after the reading of the defective part of the disk medium is completed. SOLUTION: This disk device is provided with a VCO 1 generating an internal reference clock signal, a data extracting part 5 extracting data from the RF signal read out from the disk medium by using the internal reference clock signal, a phase comparator 2 supplying a phase error signal to the VCO 1 by comparing phases of the RF signal and the reference clock signal, a frequency comparator 4 supplying a frequency error signal to the VCO 1 via a switching means 8 by comparing frequencies of the RF signal with the internal reference clock and a defect detecting part 7 outputting a defect detection signal by detecting the defective part of the disk medium from the envelope of an RF reproduced signal and the interval between the VCO 1 and the frequency comparator 4 is changed over so as to be opened at the time of outputting of the defect detection signal with the switching means 8 in this device.
