PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating machine capable of being continuously operated for a prolonged term by using a chemically stable raw material as the covering material of a winding for the rotating machine constituting a hermetic turning device having sealing structure unified with a rotary machine or employing the chemically stable raw material as an insulating material to an electrical part. SOLUTION: The rotating machine 2 constitutes a hermetic type turning device A, which is combined integrally with the rotary machine 1 compressing or expanding helium as a refrigerant and housed in a pressure-resistant sealing casing 8 and formed in airtight structure, and windings 5 for the rotating machine 2 are coated with a fluororesin. At least one of groove insulating sheets in coil grooves, in which the windings 5 are housed, wedges for coil hold-downs, insulating sections for terminals connected to coils 6 and penetrated into the pressure-resistant sealing casing 8, clamping means for holding down the mutual vibrations of the coils 5, etc., is formed of a fluororesin insulating material.
