PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately drive both different mechanisms by using one electric motor by supplying a different power per unit time to the electric motor in the case where the motor is rotated forward and in the case where the motor is rotated backward. SOLUTION: In the case of rotating a collapsible drive ring, a current having a positive polarity is intermittently supplied to the electric motor so as to rotate the electric motor forward(A). On the other hand, in the case of driving a film developing/discharging mechanism so as to discharge a film, a DC current having the polarity opposite to the aforesaid polarity is supplied so as to rotate the electric motor backward(B). First, the driving current level L of the electric motor is set to a level suitable for the film developing/discharging mechanism which is driven in accordance with the backward rotation of the electric motor. In the case of the forward rotation, the current is intermittently supplied to the electric motor, the power which is supplied to the electric motor per unit time is reduced lower than that in the case of the backward rotation. Thus, a torque required for the operation of a lens barrel driving mechanism is thoroughly imparted and also the noise generated at the operating time is suppressed at a low level.
