PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera by which an extending position is prevented from being easily deviated to an inadequate position even through a user carelessly touches a lens barrel by hand by providing a means for applying resistance to the rotation of either gear among gears constituting a gear train. SOLUTION: A means for applying resistance to the rotation of either gear among gears constituting a gear train is provided on a camera. For example, a coil spring 105a elastically pressing an engaging gear 105 in the rotating direction is provided in this camera. Driving force transmitted to a planet mechanism 104 is transmitted to the gear 105 through a sun gear 104a and a planet gear 104b constituting a planet mechanism 104. The gear 105 is elastically pressed in the rotary shaft direction of the gear 105 by the spring 105a. Thus, the gear 105 has resistance to the rotation of a rotating movable barrel so that the rotating movable barrel does not easily rotate and the extending position is prevented from being carelessly changed.
