PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a serious accident by forming a protruded part that enters the winding core part of a winding core body at a sealing member and securing a space that communicates with an explosionproof valve. SOLUTION: A case 1 of an explosionproof electrolytic capacitor is formed by cylindrical aluminum that is subjected to extrusion machining and an X-type explosionproof valve 4 is press-machined to the ceiling part. The explosionproof valve 4 breaks and opens in a flower petal shape when an internal pressure is generated. A winding core body 3 of a capacitor element and a sealing member 3 that is electrically connected to electrode leads 6 and 7 in advance from the winding core body 2 and where electric leads 6 and 7 are formed integrally are inserted into the case 1, and the end part of the case 1 is caulked. A protruded part 3a that enters a winding core part 2a of the winding core body 2, and at the same time sets the envelope of the nearly semicircular protruded part nearly equally to the inner diameter of the winding core part and smaller than the inner diameter of the winding core part at the tip part in a roof part being connected to the sealing member 3, is formed at the center of the sealing member 3, thus securing a space between the protruded part 3a and the explosionproof valve 4.
