PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having improved discrimination of an image, especially increased max. density Dmax of yellow color with low absorbance of the dye. SOLUTION: This photosensitive material has photosensitive layers containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, binder and color developing agent on a supporting body. In this case, the photosensitive layer further contains at least one kind of compd. expressed by Cp-(time)n-Dye. In the formula, Cp is a coupler residue which couples with the oxide part of the color developing agent included in the photosensitive material to form a dye having absorption in a visible ray region, time represents a timing group which can release Dye by the chemical reaction following after the coupling reaction of Cp, and n is an integer of >=0. Dye is substantially colorless when it is bonded with the coupler but leaves a dye residue having the same color and same absorption in the spectral absorption region as the dye produced from the coupler when Dye is released after the coupling reaction of the coupler.
